Autumn McAlpin grew up in Memphis, TN with seven siblings, a guitar-shaped swimming pool, and a pet pig named Hamlet. She left home the day after high school graduation armed with plenty of material. Now a resident of San Clemente, California, she writes full-time about the quirks and conundrums of fun, funny, and dysfunctional families, an area in which she specializes.

A former actress, model, and award-winning English teacher, Autumn now spends her days reading Dr. Seuss and hauling PB&J to the beach for her four charming leg accessories-- Alex, 8, Gavin, 6, Blake, 3, and Ashtyn, 1. After the last bedtime story, she moonlights as a freelance humor columnist, screenwriter, author, and editor. In her spare time, she loves watching "The Office", playing Scrabble, and traveling with her husband and best friend, Michael.
